Teddington Sofas

CUSTOMER TERMS · LAST UPDATED 9 OCTOBER 2026

Terms & conditions

These terms explain how purchases, delivery, cancellations and aftercare work when you buy from Teddington Sofas. They do not remove any rights you have under UK consumer law.

1. Who we are and how to contact us

Teddington Sofas is a trading name of Teddington Furniture Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 16293356). Our registered office is 181c London Road, Waterlooville, England, PO7 7RL. We are not VAT registered. Our showroom address is High Dell Farm Barn, Bighton Road, Alresford, Hampshire, SO24 9RE. Contact the team at teddingtonfurniture@outlook.com or on WhatsApp at 07386 275150.

2. Products, photographs and descriptions

We take care to show the correct product shape, colour and key features. Screen settings, lighting and fabric batches can affect how colour appears. Measurements are supplied for guidance; please check access routes and room dimensions before ordering. A product is supplied subject to the confirmed order description, not a supplier image or an informal message alone.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling and include delivery and installation unless a product page says otherwise. The basket total is shown before payment. Card payments are processed by Square through its secure checkout; we do not receive or store card details. We may correct an obvious pricing error before accepting an order and will contact you if this affects your purchase.

4. When an order is accepted

Your payment confirmation acknowledges that we have received your order. We accept the order when we send an order confirmation, or otherwise tell you that we can fulfil it. If we cannot accept an order, we will explain why and refund any payment taken for it.

5. Availability and delivery

Where a product is shown as available, our target is delivery in 1–7 days. Where an earliest delivery date is shown, it is an estimate based on current supplier information. We will confirm a delivery date with you. Unless we agree another date, goods will be delivered within 30 days of order acceptance. Please ensure safe, reasonable access and that an adult aged 18 or over is available to accept delivery. Tell us about difficult access, stairs, parking restrictions or restrictions that may affect delivery before the arranged date.

6. Delivery checks and installation

Please inspect the goods on delivery and tell the delivery team about visible damage before they leave where possible. This does not affect your legal rights if a fault is discovered later. Installation is limited to normal placement and assembly agreed for the product; it does not include alterations to your property, removal of existing furniture or work that is unsafe or impractical.

7. Cancellations and change of mind

For eligible standard online orders, you can tell us that you wish to cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods. You then have 14 days to return them. You may inspect a sofa as you would in a showroom, but it must not be used or handled beyond that. For a change-of-mind return, you must arrange and pay the direct return cost, or you can ask us to arrange collection for an agreed fee. Contact us before arranging any return so we can provide the appropriate return instructions or collection quote. We refund eligible payments within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or evidence they have been sent back, using the original payment method.

The statutory change-of-mind right does not normally apply to goods genuinely made to your specifications or clearly personalised. We will make this clear before payment where it applies. This does not affect your rights if goods are faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose. Read our Returns Policy for the full process and cancellation form.

8. Faults, repairs and remedies

If goods are faulty, not as described or unfit for purpose, contact us promptly with your order details and photographs where possible. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights. Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.

12-month manufacturing-fault warranty

In addition to your statutory rights, Teddington Sofas gives a 12-month warranty from the delivery date for material manufacturing faults. If you make a warranty claim, we will arrange an independent third-party visit and report to assess the issue. If that report confirms a manufacturing fault, we will process a full refund using the original payment method.

This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, neglect, unauthorised alteration or damage caused by unsuitable cleaning or care. It does not reduce your statutory rights, which can last longer than 12 months.

9. Our responsibility

We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by us. We are not responsible for losses that are not foreseeable, for business losses on a consumer purchase, or for delay caused by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.

10. Personal information, complaints and law

We use your contact and delivery details to process your order, arrange delivery and provide customer support. Read our Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice for more detail. For a concern or complaint, contact us using the details above and we will aim to respond promptly. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers may bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK where they live.
