Teddington Sofas

COOKIE NOTICE · LAST UPDATED 9 OCTOBER 2026

Cookies & storage.

This notice explains the small amount of browser storage used by Teddington Sofas. We do not use advertising, retargeting, social-media tracking or optional website analytics.

1. Your basket

The website saves the sofa items and quantities you add to your basket in your own browser under teddington-sofas-basket-v1. This is local storage rather than a traditional cookie. It is strictly necessary for the basket service you ask us to provide, is not used to track you between websites, and remains until you clear your basket or browser data.

2. Cookie-notice acknowledgement

If you close the cookie notice, the website saves teddington-sofas-cookie-notice-v1 in local storage so we do not show the same notice on every page. It only records that the notice was acknowledged and does not contain a marketing preference or personal profile.

3. Staff-only security cookies

If a member of the Teddington Sofas team signs in to the private Orders area, the site may use the secure, HTTP-only app_session_id cookie to keep that staff session secure. Customers do not need an account or this cookie to browse or buy sofas.

4. Domain forwarding

When someone starts at teddingtonsofas.co.uk, the domain registrar’s forwarding service may set a technical cookie while sending them to www.teddingtonsofas.co.uk. This happens before the website loads and is controlled by the forwarding provider. The live Teddington Sofas site itself does not use it for marketing or advertising.

5. Optional cookies in the future

If we add analytics, advertising, social-media tracking or another non-essential technology, we will explain it here and ask for your clear opt-in before it runs. You will be able to refuse it as easily as accepting it.

6. How to clear browser storage

You can clear cookies and site data using your browser settings. Clearing the Teddington Sofas site data will remove saved basket items and the cookie-notice acknowledgement. For wider information about how we use customer information, read our Privacy Policy.
